ERBI have teamed up with CambiNet Limited and EACS in order to stage a series of high profile IT Special Interest Group events. These events will reveal and explore a variety of important information management strategies which are available to the core strategic decision makers working within the centres of European biotech excellence in the East of England.

Mary will discuss the challenges of long term records management within the Pharmaceutical Industry. Mary will focus upon the issues of policy, regulation and information management which can arise from e-archiving.

 
   

Alan Calder – Director, IT Governance Ltd (Evening Strategic Session)

‘Email archiving: regulation & best practice’

 

Alan is author of "IT Governance - a Manager's Guide" and a founder director of IT Governance Ltd. Before that, he was CEO of Wide Learning, a supplier of e-learning, of Focus Central London and, before that, of Business Link London City Partners (BLLCP). He was also a member of the DTI's Information Age Competitiveness Working Group. He was for many years a member of the DNV Certification Services Certification Committee, which certifies compliance with international standards including ISO27001/BS7799.

 

 
   

Mike James – Director, Cambridge Regulatory Services Ltd (Evening Strategic Session)

‘Strategies for Managing Archived emails and Electronic Records for ECTD Submissions’

 

Mike James, co-director, is a pharmacist with more than 20 years' experience in Regulatory Affairs. After a PhD in medicinal chemistry and post-graduate work in the USA, Mike joined the Welsh School of Pharmacy as a lecturer in pharmaceutical chemistry. A career move took him to the Medicines Control Agency (now MHRA) for 11 years where he gained wide experience in the review of all types of application. During this time Mike reviewed more than 2000 CTX submissions including more than 400 for biological and biotechnology products. Prior to joining Cambridge Regulatory Services Mike worked for a UK-based consultancy where he specialised in strategic advice on medicines development and the preparation and management of major submissions for biotechnology products and other centralised applications.
