ERBI have teamed up with CambiNet Limited and EACS in order to stage a series of high profile IT Special Interest Group events. These events will reveal and explore a variety of important information management strategies which are available to the core strategic decision makers working within the centres of European biotech excellence in Cambridgeshire.

Guest speakers

Gordon Baxter, Chief Executive Officer, Biowisdom Limited

Gordon will be giving us all his perspective on what it is like to be at the top of a forward thinking biotech organisation that has eagerly embraced IT, as a key business enabler.  Given the prominence that technology plays in the competitive marketplace, Gordon will be sharing his views and expectations of people, wishing to introduce new technologies into his business, and how this needs to be communicated in order to gain his total buy-in and commitment.

Gordon Smith Baxter PhD Chief Executive Officer, BioWisdom

Ian McKendrick, Managing Director, CambiNet Limited

Turning current thinking on its head about how we should be considering technologies to enable our businesses to do more with less. Ian will be showing us how we should be selecting the most appropriate technologies for our business, by firstly understanding the strategic business objectives, and then how we should interpret the requirements of other departments, whose aim it is to achieve them. Only after we understand these strategic objectives of the business, and the requirements of other departments, can the IT Department begin to select technologies that are appropriate.

Ian McKendrick, Managing Director, CambiNet Limited
